About

I currently serve as the interviews editor for The Peace Chronicle, the Peace and Justice Studies Association news magazine, and copy editor for the literary journal Drifting Sands. I'm also on the board of directors for Western Friend, a Quaker magazine serving the western United States.

I have about a decade's experience as an English lecturer in China and New Jersey. During my time as a lecturer, I've advised a student news magazine, served as the assessment coordinator for an English literature program, and developed the online versions of several courses. I'm also a published poet, literary critic, and fairy tale writer.

My first book, A Fiction Writer's Guide to Peace: Crafting Nonviolent Heroism, is currently under contract with Bloomsbury Academic. If all goes well, it'll be published by the end of 2025. This book adapts concepts from peace studies for use in creative writing.
