About

I was among the first class of women to graduate from the University of Notre Dame and after a detour, received my MD degree from Hahnemann College of Medicine in Philadelphia followed by completing a residency in neurology at the University of Pennsylvania in 1993. After practicing neurology for 30 years, I am semi-retired and reside in the Pacific Northwest with my husband, golden retriever and Bernese mountain dog. I write non-fiction stories about motherhood, addiction and essays about my experiences in medicine. My unpublished book, "Through a Mother's Eyes" recently won second place in the 2023 Literary Contest category Non Fiction/Memoir by the Pacific Northwest Writers Association.
