Janne Teller is a critically acclaimed and bestselling Danish literary novelist of Austrian-German family background - residing mostly in NYC and/or London. Her work circles around existential and ethical questions of life and civilization, and often sparks controversial debate. She has published six novels, a short story collection and multiple essays in Danish and international newspapers and magazines. She often participates in the European public debate particularly concerning questions of refugees, multiculture and Human Rights around the world. Her literature is translated into a total of 36 languages. She has won numerous international prizes, ia the American Michael L. Printz Honor Award for literary excellence.
