Pen & Ink Literary is a boutique, full-service agency founded by Anne Bohner. Prior to founding the agency, Anne was a senior editor with New American Library (a Penguin imprint) and a junior editor at Bantam Dell (a Random House division), where she worked with many New York Times and USA Today bestsellers. Her current clients include renowned photographer H.S.H. Prince Alexi Lubomirski, local favorite Kelly Simmons, Suzanne Palmieri, and the health and wellness expert Aimee Raupp, among others.
Dana Murphy is a literary agent at The Book Group. After studying critical film theory and sociology at New York University, Dana began her career assisting Brettne Bloom and Elisabeth Weed. In 2015, The Book Group was founded, and Dana began building her own list there. Dana is hungry for writing that is immersive and surprising, with a voice so distinct it makes her cancel plans and read through meals. She is attracted to upmarket and literary fiction for adults and young adults and to smart narrative nonfiction/essay collections about pop culture, social issues, science, feminism, race, gender, film and television, music, comedy, religion, and place. At the moment, she is particularly interested in journalism-based nonfiction that looks at cultural phenomena through a new lens. Across genres, she seeks marginalized voices that speak to the radical change our world is searching for. Dana’s client list includes literary-fiction authors such as bestseller Danya Kukafka and 2018 Center for Fiction Fellow Alexandra Tanner, as well as celebrated culture writers such as Blythe Roberson, Margaret Eby, and Claire Comstock-Gay (Madame Clairevoyant at The Cut). Born and raised on Long Island, Dana lived in New York City for a decade before moving to Philadelphia last year.
Eric Smith is a literary agent at P.S. Literary (www.psliterary.com) and a Young Adult author. He's worked on award-winning and New York Times bestselling books, and is actively looking for projects across categories and genres, primarily Young Adult fiction, literary fiction, non-fiction (memoir, cookbooks, pop culture, history), and select sci-fi and fantasy. When he isn't busy working on books, he writes his own. His next books include Reclaim the Sun, a novel due out with Inkyard Press in 2020, and a story in Color Outside the Lines, an anthology being published with Soho Teen this November. He lives in Philadelphia with his wife, son, and corgi. Learn more about his list on his website, www.ericsmithrocks.com.
