Paul Grondahl is the author of several books, including acclaimed political biographies of Theodore Roosevelt and Albany Mayor Erastus Corning 2nd, which the New York Times Book Review called "a minor classic" and the New Yorker compared to Robert Caro's "The Power Broker."

Grondahl is also an award-winning reporter at the Times Union in Albany, NY, where his multimedia projects and in-depth series have won state and national writing prizes, including the Scripps Howard National Journalism Award and the Sigma Delta Chi Award in Journalism.

He has been featured on C-SPAN's "About Books" and has been named a Literary Legend and Author of the Year at the Albany Public Library, as well at the Guilderland Public Library.

He is currently at work on a biography of Andy Rooney.

He lives in Guilderland, N.Y. with his wife, Mary. They have two children, Sam and Caroline.
