Patricia J. Murphy
Patricia J. Murphy is an award-winning writer and poet for BIG and little people, a communications and marketing consultant, educator, literacy and early learning advocate, and founder + chief creative officer of Pattycake Productions, her creative services company.
She is the author of over 150 children’s books including "Hope for the Elephants" (Penguin Random House, 2015) and “Mama, LOOK!” (little bee books, 2017) with Caldecott Medalist, David Diaz, as well as a growing list of new book titles and scripts for children's television.
When she’s not writing, she develops reading/writing programs and workshops for schools, libraries, museums, and bookstores, runs a charity that makes Raggedy Ann dolls for children in need, dabbles in acting, and visits Ireland every chance she can.
