Gail Carson Levine is a children's book writer and a poet. Her best-known book, ELLA ENCHANTED, won a Newbery honor award in 1998 and was made into a major motion picture in 2004. Her other books for children include a historical novel, two picture books, a poetry collection, two nonfiction books about writing, and more fantasy novels. Her first poetry collection for adults is TRANSIENT, July 2016.
