Walter Jefferson Morgan
Walter Jefferson Morgan (AKA Jefferson Morgan or Jeff Morgan) has been a journalist and author for over 60 years. For the first two decades he was a newspaper reporter and columnist for the old Oakland Tribune in California and for the Manchester Guardian (which became simply The Guardian) in England. He is the only journalist in the world to win both the Professional Journalism Fellowship (now known as the Knight Fellowship) at Stanford University, and the Niemen Fellowship at Harvard. His true crime book “Why Have They Taken Our Children?” was awarded an Edgar Allan Poe Special Award by the Mystery Writers of America. His books and magazine articles have covered topics as diverse as mass murder, wine, food and travel.
He and his wife, author Jinx Morgan, live in the British Virgin Islands in the Caribbean where they also once owned the Sugar Mill Hotel and Restaurant.
