About

Kathy Anderson is the author of the novel, The New Town Librarian (NineStar Press, 2023), which was a finalist for Foreword INDIES Book of the Year Award for LGBTQ+ Fiction and a GOLDIE Award for Debut Novel from the Golden Crown Literary Society. Her debut short story collection, Bull and Other Stories (Autumn House Press, 2016), won the Autumn House Press Fiction Prize and was a finalist for the Lambda Literary Awards, Publishing Triangle's Edmund White Award for Debut Fiction, and Foreword INDIES Book of the Year Award in Short Stories, as well as longlisted for The Story Prize.

A former public librarian, she worked for over 25 years in small town public libraries in southern New Jersey, the setting for The New Town Librarian. She lives with her wife in Philadelphia, PA.
