JEFF BAGEL, CFRE
Jeff was appointed Associate Vice President of Foundation and Alumni Relations at Erie Community College (ECC) in 2011. Under his leadership, the Foundation has increased its assets nearly 200 percent. Jeff was honored as the 2012 Western New York Fundraising Executive of the Year by the Association of Fundraising Professionals. He is a recurring speaker at national CASE conferences and a panelist and moderator at numerous SUNY conferences and summits.
Prior to being appointed to his position at ECC, Jeff was Senior Director of Development at the Genesee Country Village & Museum where he successfully completed a $2.5 million capital campaign to renovate the John L. Wehle Art Gallery.
Jeff also served as Director of Development at Shea’s Performing Arts Center for more than nine years, helping lead the organization through its $16 million stagehouse expansion in 1999 and leading its $4.1 million Providing a Secure Future capital campaign that was completed in 2004.
Prior to Shea’s, Jeff was Director of Development for the Millard Fillmore Health System, where he received the Association for Health Care Professionals Development Showcase Award for Excellence. He also served as Director of Development and Public Relations at the National Multiple Sclerosis Society, where he was a frequent guest speaker at national and regional conferences.
Jeff is involved in numerous community organizations and activities. He currently serves as President of the Association of Fundraising Professionals, Western New York Chapter, and Vice Chairman of MusicalFare Theatre. He is also an umpire with the Niagara Frontier Officials Association and is a former adjunct faculty member at Canisius College for its Fundamentals of Fund Raising program. He is a graduate of the Executive Leadership Institute at the Center of Philanthropy at Indiana University and was one of four people nationally selected to serve as a facilitator at the Executive Leadership Institute in 2000.
Jeff resides in Williamsville with his wife Maryalice, their dog Aruba, and four birds.
