I am committed to writing books that feature diverse, female-centered stories. Diversity in literature is a passion of mine. I authored an Examiner column for the LGBT parenting community, as well as taught Diversity and writing classes in a BA/MBA Business program. My publishing credits include a non-fiction article in Listen Magazine, as well as a self-published lesbian romantic suspense novel. I am a member of the Author’s Guild and the Society of Children’s Book Writers and Illustrators.
I am currently seeking representation for my 60,000+ -word realistic, contemporary teen novel. It is a character-driven, coming-of-age story that presents bullying, sexual orientation, race, and disability issues. Additionally, I am working with my teen daughter on creating a graphic novel of the story from this book.
My current projects include a realistic, contemporary young adult novel about a young woman’s struggle with loss and addiction, as well as a sequel to my self-published novel. I have completed the story for a picture book, but do not yet have an illustrator.
