About
Sondra Willobee is a recently-retired minister in the United Methodist Church. She has straddled the worlds of writing and preaching for thirty-five years, having worked as a lead pastor, a freelance writer, an adjunct professor, and an editor at a seminary.
Her published works include The Write Stuff: Crafting Sermons That Capture and Convince (Westminster John Knox, 2009), contributions to Keeping Holy Time (Abingdon Press, 2002, 2003), FaithLink (Cokesbury, 2003-2007), and Courageous Spirit (Upper Room Books, 2005). Her essays, poems, and stories have appeared in literary and religious journals including The Christian Century, Christianity Today, Driftwood Review, Weathervane, and The Michigan Christian Advocate.
She and her husband, Ed, have two adult daughters. They enjoy canoeing, hiking, camping, and disc golf. Sondra graduated magna cum laude with a B.A. in English from Wayne State University in Detroit and has a Master of Divinity degree from the Methodist Theological School in Ohio.
