After an earlier career as an English teacher, elementary librarian, freelance writer, and various other occupations (I could nearly complete the alphabet game of listing a different occupation for every letter), I began writing books for a living in 1991. I have published many books since then. Among them are FOR GOD, COUNTRY AND COCA-COLA; UNCOMMON GROUNDS; MIRROR MIRROR; CITY ON THE VERGE; INSIDE THE OUTBREAKS; MEMORY WARP; and THE MOST HATED MAN IN AMERICA, among others. I've also written three children's picture books. And I love to sing. Scroll down on my website, www.markpendergrast.com, for links to some songs. I also write poetry, but mostly for myself.
