Anna Redsand was raised by evangelical missionary parents in the Navajo Nation. She is the author of a spiritual journey memoir, To Drink from the Silver Cup: From Faith Through Exile and Beyond (Terra Nova, 2016). Her essays have appeared in literary journals, and “Naturalization” was a notable in Best American Essays 2014. Her biography Viktor Frankl: A Life Worth Living won four national and international awards. Much of her writing explores the fluidity of identity, the effects of colonization, race relations, the morality of missions, non-binary thinking, and the dynamics of cultural contact. She lives in Albuquerque, New Mexico, USA.
