Journalist and nonfiction writer with two books, "Texas Big Rich" and "Connecting: The Enduring Power of Female Friendship" published by HarperCollins/Avon and a third, "Imperiled Reef: The Fascinating, Fragile Life of a Caribbean Wonder," due out October 5 from University of Florida Press. Her first novel, "Deserts of the Heart," from White Bird Publications, is available in print from independent bookstores and in print and e-book formats online from Barnes & Noble and Amazon. When not traveling, Sheehy splits her time between Albuquerque and Galveston.
