About

I am a former research scientist in the field of immunology. I have been a medical writer since 1999 and have written on a wide range of topics from autism to solid organ transplantation. I write the monthly "AJT Report" for the American Journal of Transplantation and have weekly stories in The Rheumatologist. My goal is to communicate health information in a way that makes a difference in the lives of people.
I am now turning my attention to writing books. I am writing a historical novel recounting the birth of the rabies vaccine from the perspective of a mother. I am also working on a narrative nonfiction book proposal about a novel approach to the treatment of the rare disease Prader-Willi Syndrome.
