About

A photographer and award-winning journalist with decades of experience, Jodi Hausen nearly flunked college due to its rigorous writing requirement. She's grateful to the professors and, later, editors who tortured her with high standards.
Her work has appeared in national and regional magazines and daily newspapers including Narratively, Montana Quarterly, Mountain Outlaw, Mushing, Mainebiz, Cattle Business Weekly, Fine Art Connoisseur, Outside Bozeman, Bozeman Daily Chronicle and the Portland Press Herald/Maine Sunday Telegram and heard on Maine Public Radio's Maine Things Considered.
Copywriting and editing clients include Intuit, eHow, The Rhodes Trust, Bozeman Health, Huffington Post and The World Bank.
Formerly a set and costume designer, Registered Maine Guide and Wilderness EMT, Jodi's interests are broad. She's taught skiing, participated in wilderness rescues and competed (once upon a time) as a figure skater.
Now an enthusiastic (albeit mediocre) triathlete living in the Rocky Mountains, she loves all things yummy and cuddly and is open to considering all points of view. After all, communication leads to understanding. And understanding each other is the key to compassion and peace.
