I am a rising second year fiction MFA candidate at the University of North Carolina at Greensboro. I was born in Seoul, South Korea, and grew up in Indianapolis, Indiana. The road that led me to writing was long and winding, and included shipyards, being launched off an aircraft carrier in a C-2, a deployment to the Middle East, and a variety of professions from healthcare to real estate. With the support of my husband, John, my three children, and two cats, I finally figured out what I wanted to do when I grow up.
