Ryan Friend graduated from Northeastern State University in Tahlequah, OK, with a BA in English in 2009.
He is a member of the Author's Guild, the Oklahoma Writers Federation, Inc., Tahlequah Writers, the Tulsa Nightwriters, and A Murder of Storytellers. He is actively seeking representation.
He is a member of both the Cherokee and Osage tribes and a passionate poet. Many of his poems lean on his Native American heritage, drawing from local culture and beliefs.
Ryan plans to independently release two satirical children's horror storybooks in October, 2015, but his passion lies in novel writing. He is currently working on his debut novel, an off-the-cuff fantastical adventure-comedy.
Ryan Friend lives in Tahlequah, Oklahoma, with his wife, Kate, and their four children, Adelaide Grace, Ion Martin, Aurora Sophia, and Emory Apollo.
