I was born and raised in Chicago but spent my twenties and thirties living in Austria near the Swiss border, England, Boston, Princeton and Ann Arbor. After ten years on the faculty at the University of Michigan (sociocultural linguistics) we moved to the west coast. I have been writing full time since 2000. My academic publications are published under my full name (Rosina Lippi Green), non-fiction and contemporary fiction under Rosina Lippi, and historical fiction under Sara Donati.
I have nine novels in print, and one forthcoming in September 2015 (The Gilded Hour) with Berkley. A handful of short stories in literary journals and magazines, a respectable list of academic publications, and a lot of non fiction online including six years worth of weblog posts,
These days I work at home in a small study that looks into a woefully neglected garden. Two aging dogs hang out with me, but really are watching the garden for trespassing deer. I have a Mathematician husband, an adult daughter, and a terrible yearning to return to the East Coast.
