About

Amy Belding Brown, who grew up in Vermont, holds a bachelor's degree from Bates College, in Lewiston, Maine, and a M.F.A. from Vermont College of Norwich University (now Vermont College of Fine Arts), in Montpelier, Vt. Her published works include EMILY'S HOUSE (Berkley, 2021), FLIGHT OF THE SPARROW: A NOVEL OF EARLY AMERICA (Berkley, 2014), MR. EMERSON'S WIFE (St. Martin's Press, 2005) as well as numerous stories and poems.

She has four adult children and two grandchildren, scattered from Massachusetts to California, She currently lives in Thetford, Vt., not far from where her ancestors are buried. When she's not writing, she enjoys reading and nature photography.
