Toni D. Holm
Toni’s childhood was one every kid dreams of—her mother worked at Disneyland. Privy to employee/family premiers, like 101 Dalmatians, and viewing backstage filming for Zorro, Toni began learning the art of storytelling from the master illusionist—Walt Disney. It was here that she discovered her passion for visual storytelling. When her family moved to Florida, Toni took her first job in Adventureland at Walt Disney World, continuing her apprenticeship in learning how imagination and illusion can extend experience and suspend disbelief. It was The Haunted Mansion ride that gave her the idea for the title, Hidden Portraits.
Publishing – CEO/Publisher/Editor – Trade Books - www.wordkeepersinc.com - After working as an editor at several publishing houses, including Simon & Schuster, connecting with writers, agents, and other publishers was a natural extension of my long involvement with authors. That lead to co-founding a successful, hybrid publishing house, Word Keepers, Inc. In 2015, I committed to my own writing - screenplays and novels. My experiences as a writer, editor, and publisher gave me the awareness of what makes a compelling story. From my first film viewing, sitting with Walt Disney at the age of seven, to having tea with Maya Angelou, I learned the importance of universal entertainment and the passions that drive the power of storytelling. My stories combine magical realism and fantasy with human drama.
