About

Richard V. Rupp is an author of adult-oriented crime novels. His first novel in the FBI Special Agent Hartmann series Death & Taxes received excellent reviews and won the Independent Book Publishers Association, Benjamin Franklin Silver Award for Best New Voice in Fiction.

Prior to writing crime fiction, Dick was an internationally recognized lecturer, writer, and published author on the subjects of insurance and risk management. He was born in Santa Monica, California and grew up in a Hollywood movie industry family. He served in the Army Reserve where he was assigned to the Army Finance Corp. His business career led him to the commercial insurance industry, where he became an executive that specialized in developing new insurance products and risk financing concepts. His forte was research, writing, and designing risk management and risk funding products to be used by major corporations. His positions allowed him to travel the world, including frequent trips to London, Bermuda, and the Cayman Islands.

Dick lives in Burbank, California.
