Michael Alistair Findlay
Born in Scotland in 1945 and a New York City resident since 1964 Michael Findlay has been publishing poetry and prose sporadically since 1962. By profession an art dealer Findlay has written commentary, essays and book reviews in arts magazines in the U.S. and the U.K. and in the 1960'sand 1970's read poetry at venues like The Judson Church with Ann Waldman, Gerard Malanga, Barbara Holland and others. He is a contributing author of 'The Expert versus The Object: Judging Fakes and False Attributions in the Visual Arts" published by Oxford University Press in 2004. In 2012 his first book, "The Value of Art" was published by Prestel in hardcover and is currently available in paperback and has been translated into German, Spanish, Japanese and Korean. In 2015 his poetry was published in "Lalitamba" magazine.
