Martha Mathews Libster
Dr. Martha Mathews Libster, the national award-winning historian of Herbal Diplomats (2004), has authored 6 book publications (non-fiction) including Enlightened Charity (2009), Science of Energy Flow®- Foot Reflexology with Herbal Stress Relief (2014), and The Nurse-Herbalist: Integrative Insights for Holistic Practice (2012) in which she weaves entertaining stories of her “partnerships” with plants with the details of a cutting-edge practice model based on nursing science and Traditional Chinese Herbal Medicine. From 1999 - 2002, she published 2 books and 1 electronic work with Delmar Cengage Thomson Learning. In 2004, she founded Golden Apple Publications, an independent publishing firm. She is the Editor for Perspectives on Cultural Diplomacy, an E-Publication Series published under the Golden Apple.
Dr. Libster is a dynamic speaker who inspires new dimensions of thinking about the healing arts and sciences, nursing, education, healing plants, and health care reform.
She is currently Director of Research and Evidence-Based Practice and Professor of Nursing at Governors State University where she instructs doctoral and master’s students in research, scientific writing, nursing science and philosophy. She is an has been a featured speaker for such organizations as the World Health Organization, the Royal College of Nursing, the Asian-Pacific International Conference on Complementary Nursing, and the United States Botanic Garden.
